Kia ora,
I have the privilege of leading a fantastic team of junior teachers as well as my role as Assistant Principal. I also teach the amazing children in Room 1. I look forward to the privilege I have of working with parents and whānau as the children start school continue on their path of becoming life long learners.

I team teach with Marion Harris in Room 6, because she releases me when teach Reading Recovery. I teach Ruma Ono from 9.00am to 12.00pm on Monday to Thursday then on Friday from 11.00am onwards. The class has Year Two students and we have a lot of fun learning together. This year our class belongs to a hub with Rooms five and seven. My class really enjoy Discovery Time. They love to share their learning on our blog that is found at the bottom of the Welcome page. Bellevue School is a great place for everyone to learn.

Kia ora, my name is Melissa Van Echten and I teach the wonderful children in Super Seven! I am part of the Te Hau Rāwhiti syndicate and work collaboratively with Rooms 5 and 6.

My name is Deeann Daniels. I have the privilege of working with the students in Te Hau a Uru. I work part of the day in Room 12 and then work with small groups of students supporting Maths learning.
Room 12 work collaboratively with Richard and the Room 13 students.

Kia ora! My name is Cassie Baggs and I am part of the Te Hau Tonga. I teach the wonderful Year 3/4 children in Room 9 and work collaboratively with Mr B in Room 8.

This year I am teaching in Room 15 as a part of the Te Hau a Uru team with Year 5 & 6. Room 15 is excited to be working closely in collaboration with Room 14 as a hub.

I have a variety of roles in 2017 including running Student Council, Choir and look forward to the production in Term 3

This year I am teaching the wonderful tamariki in Room 8. I grew up in Dunedin and studied at the University of Otago for 4 years. I am excited to start my career working with the Bellevue whānau.

Throughout the year Room 8 and Room 9 will be working in a collaborative learning space within the Whakamene Hub.

Kia Ora! I was born in Sri Lanka and moved to sunny California when I was 8 years old. I come from a family of teachers and have always had a passion for the classroom. I have my Bachelors in Sociology with a minor in Education and then went on to complete my Masters in Education.

I am known for my sunshine as I prefer to smile over anything and am open and fun loving. I have a love for music and dance (even though I may be terrible at it) and love creativity in any shape.

It is my strong desire to work in a collaborative inquiry-learning environment. My life's work lies in enhancing students learning and confidence through differentiated learning that meets the needs of a diverse range of students. My day is not complete unless my students have a positive outlook on school.

I look forward to getting to know the Bellevue Whanau! :)

I grew up in sunny Wanaka playing every sport imaginable, then studied hard in Dunedin for a physical education degree. I enjoyed 2 years living in London working as a teacher’s assistant, coaching junior rugby and travelling Europe. I have a large range of interests including all sports, music, building / landscaping, and travel and am very excited to incorporate these into my classroom.
