Principal's Welcome
Welcome to Bellevue School
We are a community centred primary school (Year 1-6) in the Northern hills of Wellington, with large outdoor play areas and inspiring views across the hills.
Close to our local Kindergarten, Intermediate and College and with strong connections to our other local Primary schools, we work together to provide a coherent pathway for learning in the Newlands area.
Our motto is 'e tipu e ako' - where learning grows.' Learning underpins all that we do.
We aim to nurture each child’ unique talents, recognising that every individual is different and fostering each student’s innate curiosity. We support and encourage students to lead their own learning; understanding where they are, aiming for where they want to be and recognising how to get there.
Our teachers are creative and collaborative in their delivery of the curriculum, with students at the centre of all that we do. Our staff is professional, talented, empathetic and highly reflective. Also learners, we continually challenge ourselves to innovate, learn and grow. We see learning as an integral partnership between whānau, community, teachers and students.
Our school Board and staff, in partnership with our community, strive to grow individuals who are confident, active, connected life-long learners with the competencies to thrive in their lives.
We welcome you to Bellevue School on behalf of our tamariki, teachers and community. Please take a look at the information here on our website or get in touch to organise a visit to our wonderful school.
