About FUNdraisers
The FUNdraisers are the Bellevue School Fundraising Committee and volunteers.
We are a group of parents who, in collaboration with the School Board and School Staff, are keen to make a difference for Bellevue School! We like to do this by fundraising with enjoyable, fun experiences that create great school memories for our children and community.
What we plan to achieve
Our ambition is to help fund The Bellevue FUNdraisers Wishlist which is filled with activities and initiatives that support the children’s learning, environment, and out of classroom activities.
How we do it
Some of the fundraising activities that we do are:
End of term Pizza Lunch or Sausage Sizzle, ‘Kids Art Work’ Calendar/Cards etc, Entertainment Book Sales, Biennial Book Fair, and Annual Festive Bake Sale.
We loosely have three roles within the FUNdraisers team –
Committee Leaders:
Members who like to be hands on as well as regularly attending meetings.
Committee Members:
Those who contribute at meetings without any pressure to take on a defined job.
Volunteers:
The family and friends who generously give their time to help, without necessarily attending committee meetings. This might look like collating orders and counting payments, helping distribute orders, assisting with ‘people power’ at social events.
There are many opportunities for you to help! With each event needing a Leader, and often many volunteers to help get what needs doing, done!
Committee Meetings
Meetings are at 7pm on the Thursday before scheduled School Board Meetings, and when possible are held onsite in the school staffroom or in Whare Iti. They are attended by committee members and a BoT and Teaching representative each. Everyone is welcome to attend without being part of the committee.
We’d love for you to come and join us, to share your ideas and experience, come be part of the fun! The meetings dates are advertised in the school newsletter and are also outlined below -
Term 1: 7th March 2024, with future meeting dates to be decided during this meeting.
Term 2: -

What we’ve achieved
2024 we started with a bang again! We used a little of our FUNdraising profits to purchase
the school their own polythene for the Whanau/Community Picnic day Water Slide, and
offered sausage sizzle, drinks and ice blocks this year!
Coming up this year, we are bringing the fun to athletics day with a free ice block for each
student. There will be Juicies for sale for the Cross Country day, end of term Pizza Lunches,
a Bulbs fundraiser (for those of us who're green fingers!)... and after that, well we'll see!

2023 saw us bring back a little more of the FUN to our FUNdraising events. We started the year with the Whanau/Community Picnic, offering a Sausage Sizzle and Water Slide (courtesy of the local Newlands Scout Group)! We might have been the most popular fundraising team EVER that day!
In addition, there was the end of term Pizza Lunches, a wine fundraiser, Kids Art Works, Hangi and the ever popular Juicies which we offered at the Athletics Day and FUNRun events.
2022 Our major event was the Book Fair held in November. In addition to this we had our well loved end of term Pizza or Sausage Sizzle Lunches, a wine fundraiser and Kids Art Work events, we also successfully trialed a Hāngī meal for the school Matariki Celebration. To see our the year, as there was a huge amount of books left over, we had a very special mini lunch time book fair for the school students only and boy was it a hot day that day, so we also gave each child in the school a free mini ice block!
2020 - 2021 a lot of our normal events were indefinitely postponed due to the pandemic, but we did manage to raise funds toward the “Senior” Slide installation and new school sport uniforms!
In the few years prior to 2020, we successfully fundraised for some pretty fun items for our tamariki. Some of these initiatives coincided with the Bellevue School 50th Jubilee Celebrations in 2017, and included the Jubilee Corner playground and new equipment in the “Junior” Playground.
